FAQ for PrintSpot Print Driver

How does it work?

The Pharos PrintSpot print driver is a solution that installs a virtual printer onto your computer. As long as you have Internet connectivity, you can print to the PrintSpot queue directly from applications on your computer – just as if you were printing to a local printer. To release a document, simply swipe or login to any PrintSpot printer and print your document.

How long will a document stay in my queue?

Documents are held in the PrintSpot queues for 24 hours.

How am I charged for printing?

The PrintSpot print driver sends documents to your queue, but you are not charged until they are released at a printer. Please see this page for general information about printing costs.

What operating systems can I install the driver on?

The PrintSpot print driver is supported for Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1. For Mac, we support Mac OSX 10.6 and above. Windows 8RT is not supported (non-pro versions of the Microsoft Surface).

What can I do if my device is not supported?

Remember, the print driver is just one of the options for personal device printing. We also offer PrintSpot MobilePrint, which works from almost any e-mail capable device. Click here for more information about PrintSpot MobilePrint.
